Stocks Rising
The Hard Fax Composite of home improvement
industry stocks gained 43 points in the latest week of trading to end at 1330, up
from 1287 the prior week, and is currently up 21 percent on the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 253 points
for the week, ending at 13076, or plus seven percent on the year.
Last week the market basket of 28
industry-related stocks had 21 gainers versus seven decliners.
Two
industry retail stocks gained impressively last week. Tractor Supply gained
13.87 to end at 91.84, and is currently up 31 percent on the year. Lumber Liquidators gained 9.93 to end at 44.04,
or plus 149 percent for the year.
