Home Improvement Industry
Stocks Down Six PointsThe Hard Fax Composite of home improvement industry
stocks fell six points in the latest week of trading to end at 1356, down from 1362
the prior week, and is currently up 23 percent on the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 67 points
for the week, ending at 13091, or plus seven percent on the year.
Last week the market basket of 28 industry-related
stocks had 15 decliners versus 13 gainers.
As traders return from the holiday weekend, much
attention will be focused on Charlotte, where the Democratic National
Convention is being held. Beyond the
speeches and rhetoric, investors will be looking for signs that the party has a
sound economic plan for the future.
