Attendees Enjoy Welcome Reception

Attendees at the Hardlines Technology Forum® gathered at the end of the first day to enjoy some refreshment and relaxation. The Welcome Reception was held right in the Tabletop Exhibit area so that vendors’ products and services could be viewed and discussed in an informal atmosphere.

The Welcome Reception is a long-standing HTF® tradition where veteran attendees gather to meet and greet, often after having communicated only by e-mail and phone for a year, and new attendees are welcomed to the Forum and made to feel at home.

Seller Forum Attracts Active Participation

On Tuesday morning, the popular “Seller Forum” session attracted approximately 150 vendors who were broken up into groups of six at tables to discuss manufacturers’ concerns with the EDI requirements of their retail and wholesales customers.

Each group was assigned the task of identifying issues or concerns that were definable, specific and obtainable. Also, the issues had to have broad industry implications and be electronic commerce-related.

The final outcome of the Seller Forum session is a list of top concerns and issues that are presented to retailers and wholesalers for their response. Throughout the year following the Forum, committees work on the issues and present solutions.
