Qualifications for Membership
Since 1901, the American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) has been
helping hardware/home improvement firms and their executives improve their
performance by providing a number of beneficial programs, services and
activities.
AHMA is the primary U.S. trade association serving the needs of hardware/home
improvement, lawn and garden and paint and decorating manufacturers.
Membership Categories
Who’s Eligible to Become a Member?
- Any company headquartered in the United States and engaged in the manufacture
of goods for the hardware/home improvement, lawn and garden or paint and
decorating trade may, upon application, become a member of AHMA upon subscribing
to the Bylaws and the payment of the admission fee and the annual dues.
Who’s Eligible to Become an Associate Member?
- Any individual, firm or corporation acting as a manufacturer’s representative
for a member of the Corporation may become an associate member of AHMA.
- Any publisher of trade publications in the hardware/home
improvement, lawn and garden or paint and decorating industries may become an
associate member of AHMA.
- Any international firm or corporation engaged in the manufacture or marketing
of products for the hardware/home improvement, lawn and garden or paint and
decorating channels may become an associate member of AHMA.

Dues
Admission Fee: $200 for Regular Membership and $100 for Associate
Membership payable with a membership application and to be returned if the
application is not accepted by the Association. The fee for membership
reinstatement is $100.
Annual Dues: $500 for Regular Membership and $450 for Associate
Membership payable with the application and upon election to membership; in
subsequent years payable annually in advance.
