Ply Gem Q2 Sales +4%

[Friday, August 10, 2012]  Ply Gem Holdings, Inc., a leading manufacturer of exterior building products in North America, today announced financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2012.

Net sales for the second quarter were $307.3 million, an increase of $12.8 million, or 4.3%, compared to the prior year second quarter of $294.5 million. Net sales for the first half of 2012 were $546.5 million, higher than the prior year by $51.9 million, or 10.5%.

Second quarter operating earnings were $31.0 million compared to $28.8 million for the second quarter of 2011 after considering inventory buyback expense associated with new customer wins.
